When you run into a problem, how do you deal with it?
Bill Gates asks two questions when he runs into a big new problem; who has dealt with this problem before? And what can we learn from them?
When I break these two questions down, I hear some very interesting assumptions. First is despite being one of the richest people in the world, Gates assumes he’s not the smartest Person.
Next, I noticed that Gates is assuming an active listening mode, not listening to answer, but listening to learn. And the third assumption I hear is that Gates is willing to adapt his behavior and change with YouTube and online tools.
These days, this approach is even easier to implement than it used to be. What can you achieve if you seek to outsmart people, listen to them, and adapt based on what you learn?
